I offer various services in the form of custom massage treatments using a blend of various modalities listed below. Choose either a 60 minute or 90 minute session. I will asses your goals, issues, and what your body needs that day.
First in my list of services is a relaxation massage. This is a full body massage designed to promote general wellbeing. Using long gliding strokes, it will soothe your muscles and nerves, easing tension and stress. Also, this form of massage is wonderful for increasing serotonin levels. This in turn helps regulate mood, appetite, and sleep. Finally this is also helpful for reducing body toxins, and improving circulation and flexibility.
Myofascial Release Massage
Next in my list of services is Myofascial Release which is an effective therapeutic approach in the relief of various ailments. These include cervical pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, neurological dysfunction, decreased range of motion, chronic pain, and headaches. In addition, this massage modality stretches the fascia, releasing the bonds and allowing the muscles, tendons and ligaments to move more efficiently. Subsequently this helps reduce restrictions on nervous and circulatory systems.
Deep Tissue Massage Therapy
Deep Tissue Massage technique goes deeper into the muscle tissue to reduce spasms and scar tissue that often result from chronic injury or overuse. Also, this modality is used both in the treatment of specific injuries and a deeper massage that some clients prefer for relaxation.
Prenatal Massage Service
First, Prenatal massage therapy can be an important part of a care program for expectant mothers. During this time it is common to experience back pain, shoulder or neck pain, or fluid retention. Next, I use special techniques to allow the client to lie on her stomach (depending on comfort of the mother and the size of the baby) during the massage. Also, a lighter relaxation massage is the perfect treatment for an expectant mother.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
A specific technique that massages the lymph nodes and lymph system. First, this technique uses light rhythmic strokes designed to help the lymph system remove toxins from the body. Next, when lymph circulation stagnates, fluid can build up and cause physical problems such as inflammation and edema. Also, a characteristic of lymph system massage is that the strokes parallels the muscle fiber, rather than cross-fiber. Finally, this is more effective as the lymph system runs parallel to the muscle fiber. Clients will see improved lymphatic function.
